Can anyone help please? I need to know where I can get a prog to download xls files. Thx.

It's a MS Excel file. Any spreadsheet should open it.

Sorry, I didn't explain properly. The xls file is an attachment on an e-mail that I've been sent.

If it's got makros and special formatting only Excel will 'fully' open it.

If you need a freeware spreadsheet/office type application a couple you can try (big download but freeware) are:

or do a search for Star office.

I still think that any spreadsheet should make something of it. Save that attachment (your mail is scanned for viruses, right) and open it with your spreadsheet.

Alternatively you can download and use the Excel 97/2000 viewer which is available FOC from the Microsoft web site. Direct link below.
