Just to let you all know BBS is back again in full as before.

All BBS access numbers are now working.

Much to my surprise, BBS is back already. I didn't expect to see them back before weekend. Lets see if it's any easier connecting in the evening. I guess there will still be those wanting to complain about 20-30 redials in the evening - or will everybody be happy just to see them back.

This is starting to look like best £25 I could have invested in an ISP ever. But let this be a lesson to those thinking of signing up with BBS. Next time, something like this will really be the end. So, do not sign up if you can't afford too lose £25 and have proper backup in place, as they CAN go under without warning. This was just a "trial" run but next time it could be for real.

Hurray, BBS is back, well done Big Blue Sky!!! Let us hope they are here to stay. They told me yesterday to wait a couple of days before they would be up and running, but they were quicker. What a surprise!!!

I don't believe it,. it's like looking at a cliff edge that had been roped off but now the ropes gone and the lemmings are jumping again!

If anyone seriously thinks that an ISP that only charges £25.00 for a years internet connection will actually provide it then they are in serious need of business education.

Connect25 couldn't do it, Breathe couldn't do it, IG Click couldn't do it for £89.00 and some that provide it for £99 can't do it either so why on the face of the earth do people think that BBS can do it for £25

I bang my head in disbelief:confused:

Your best spending your time searching for a new ISP as assured as day follows night this ISP will go down.

I'm new to the realities of the world of ISP's but I do find all the cynicism somewhat disheartening. Technically I gather that bumble bees shouldn't be able to fly, but they do!
I do voluntary work with a small, independant outfit, set in an economically depressed area of the UK. Technically it shouldn't have even got off the ground, never mind survived, yet we are now in our 22nd year.
While its obviously wise to have a backup ISP [I use Freeserve],I can't go along with all the doom and gloom. I believe what BBS say in their mission statement and until I'm proved wrong I think I'll carry on, I hope they go on thoroughly confounding the cynics.
Long live the peoples ISP :)

Peoples ISP would be much closer to people (and people to it) if it would come clean about what went wrong this week. That upgrade story is pathetic. Nobody will be convinced that what happened was a part of some planned action.

If they find it embarrassing to post such information on their website we could have a short explanation via e-mail (they do have our e-mail addresses, don't they). It would go quite a way towards quashing rumours floating about.

Yawn. There seems to be a lot of effort being put into putting BBS down. Fair enough there was a definite lack of communication this week and this is a general trend with BBS. And fair enough they seem to be having more than their fair share of teething problems. But at the end of the day if you don't like it, don't use it! Geez! Too much negative attitude - it's what makes the world what it is... I for one am prepared to put up with a few mishaps and being kept in the dark if it means I'm saving £155 a year..... BBS are trying to pull off what appears to be the impossible and I think we should support them rather than slagging them off. At the end of the day if they make a success of this then we all benefit.

Yup, and there is another ISP that is even cheaper than BBS and its still going. Its IC24, granted not 24/7, but look at their track record.

To right, if IC24 can do it then why not BBS? I cant belive the sinisum from day 1, orginally most the the free calls isps free totally free, I dont know why BBS invite such a slagging coz they ask for £25, anyway connect 25 tried to launch that software with ad banners right at the last minute, but BBS have ALWAYS asked us to click their ad banners.... all you lot typing away things about how they are going to fail just CLICK THEIR BANNERS instead, do something usefull will your time!!!!
