I want to back-screen project using a PC and data projector and I'd appreciate your suggestions as to how best to compensate for the reversed image (since its now been viewed from the "wrong" side)

I have considered projecting via a mirror, thereby getting a double reversal, but that seems very fiddly.

The application I'm using does not have the facility to reverse the PC image, but is there any "global" software that would let me do that?

How about inserting a prism between the lens and the screen?

All suggestions appreciated.

also

The data projector (Sony) only has a single 15pin input, unlike the Panasonics I normally use, which have both input and output.
So what's the best way to get two video outs, as I need to run my desktop monitor and the projector simultaneously
I have a couple of old video cards I could slot in - is it possible to run two video cards on the same mobo?
Oh, and I need this all sorted and tested by Friday (gulp)

On the data projector there may be an option to back project, there is on the one I use, it then projects a mirror image on the back of the screen. Search the menu options.

Not on this one there ain't.

Its a Sony. Sony = Crap.

Just spoken to Sony Professional - they say the projector can't do image reversal. I suggested that to make a data projector which doesn't do back screen projection is a bit like making a car with wheels that don't go round - but everything else works.

(I have a Sony CRX145E CD Re-writer which doesn't write CD's)

BTW If you want a real mind-numbing experience talk to Keith at Sony customer services - the most unhelpful help-line you'll ever experience. :lol :lol
Its not really laughable but this board doesn't support the crying smiley

Anyway, we digress, what now - help!

What are you projecting? Images can be reversed in most graphic apps.

You could screen grab each presentation slide and reverse it as a jpeg. Pain but better than nowt.

Nah! I'm afraid its not that easy.

Its streaming, audio generated sequences.

(are you familiar with Geiss or Acidspunk?)

Say no more! :smokin

errmm... why would you want to "reverse" geiss anyway? its basically symmetrical.

er.. no and I think you may need to see a doctor.

From the sounds of it most folk won't be able to tell it's backwards, if they notice tell them it's supposed to be that way.

and

I'm running a lot more than that which is part text based so reversal is imperative
