I have downloaded an application It has cab and rar files which do not appear to decompress Can not find the "INSTALL" or "SETUP" I am using Zip magic on windows 2000 Help would be appreciated

does zip magic do RAR files?

Try Winrar.

Some cab files will not decompress with any program. I'm guessing the're customised to stop you extracting them.
All RAR files should extract though. Both winrar (http:\\www.winrar.com) and winace (http:\\www.winace.com) can handle RAR files.

I have downloaded the RAR application and "no worries mate - she's ryt" Zip magic has rar listed in its cando list though obviously there must be limitations. Thanks alot for the advise
