With out wishing to stir up a hornets nest, can I just say that IMHO the RIAA certainly have not really scared too many people away from file sharing, I have just loaded up Kazaalite K++ on my new PC and on connecting found 4,197,715 users sharing 740,798,206 files, I did D/l one file to try it out and I must say I am very impressed with the lite version.
Just off to hide and boil my head

Whats wrong with it? Napster will still work with Napigator but it is not (IMHO) a patch on Kazaalite and it's variations! It does not resume for one thing.
Have you tried Kazaalite K++ (no spyware)

Err excuse me! I think you owe me an apology, who said I stole something? For your information I d/l a pdf file and as you don't know what the file was how can you imply that I am a Thief?
I always thought that in this country one was presumed innocent unless proven guilty!

As for innocent until proven guilty, many here have bragged of having broken this law.

Don't get me wrong I am not lilly-white but in the last few months I have only used file-sharing to d/l a few pdfs about Photoshop, many of which are freely available on the web.
Just because others have (in your words) 'Bragged' does not mean that I am automatically guilty!

I thought you lived in the True Blue Wildlife Park, aka Bucks. The one I know is just south of Cheltenham, a suburb of it these days, really - it's the proper name of the "Chimney" that I wasn't sure of, not the name of the place.
Is there another Leckhampton that I'm unaware of, or are you thinking of Leckhampstead?

John, I don't the tech details as to how but if you use Napigator it will load your original Napster 'browser' (I have version 7) and Napigator will give you a huge long list of servers, you then just click on a server to connect and use Napster as before. The list of servers includes the speed and number of users etc, if one won't connect you just choose another one, in use it is exactly like using the original Napster!
FWIW I still prefer Kazaalite though!:)

The only person I know who did not and would not have anything that wasn't 100% bought and paid for on their machine .... was the local vicar!
After all, if people were scrupulously honest about buying every bit of software, there wouldn't be so much effort put into protection, and prices would fall (oh yeah!).
And a more honest corollary to that - only those who don't TRY ever end up paying full price for software - I've got a good many "OEM" products, upgrade discounts etc.
Leave those full-priced products on the shelves for long enough, and they'll get the message ... As a recent Langalist mail said, do you REALLY need Office 2003, when an older version or the freeware Openoffice is probably more than enough!

are you sure,. kazzalite should have no type of adbot / spyware stuff,. what it does have are spyware blanks - stubs that are named and look a bit like the spyware they are replacing (but they are not actual spyware themselves) - it's the trick that kazzalite uses to remove the spyware (well that's what it did do - I haven't checked recently)

They are another compression format like mp3 only there lossless so you dont lose any quality. Download them, convert to wave and you have an exact 1 to 1 copy.
