Does anyone know of a place that gives 50 meg of webspace with a cgi bin and no ads for free?

Join the club mate. The ones i've found can be very slow. Your pushing it a bit looking for 50meg. www.f2s.com offer 20megs and the features you want but it can be slow in the day. Check out www.digitalrice.com too but again they are v.slow.

Does anyone recall spl1t.com and what happened to them? I knew they were offering a really good deal but it's been months and there site doesn't work. Plus, I can't find any news articles on it...

How fast are barrysworld and portland. I've heard portland can be v.slow but don't know about barrys world. The only reason i'm considering switching hosts is because of slow speed during the day.

Well i've been trying barrys world out and they seem fairly good. Anythings better than f2s.com anyway so i've moved my whole ikonboard there. Thanks for the link :)

unlimited webspace, cgi scripts allowed. no advertising. Just use their connection to upload webpages (calls at local rate)
I use them to host my brother in laws site and they are pretty good.
