Is it worth subscribing to anytime?

What is the performance of the service like?

Does this depend on what part of the country you are in?

Personally I find it very good.

Fast, first time connections every time. Modem connection speeds have been increased in my experience recently. For me it was from 44 kbps (when I first signed up) to 46.667 kbps (almost every time) using a PCMCIA card. With an external modem you should do better.

The cache (refresh) problem has been sorted, so that you now don't get any white/blank pages or out of date pages on ezboard.

No random cut offs. Normal cut off is 2 hours.

It is easy to sign up online with a credit card.

You can use a DUN connection; you just install a small .ins file (which you get when signing up). This updates your DUN connection with the proxy server details. Apart from that there is no other software to install.

As for the above being country dependent, I don't know.
