Foooooooking Amazing mate!

I cried both times!

Its like something out of a horror film! But you will never, ever feel so much emotion in your life! Its so overwhelming you can't understand unless you are there with someone you love! Its a real mind blower!

My wife was in labour for 24 hours with the first and i have never seen anyone in as much pain in my life! The missis just kept asking me if there was any post! i think she was a little gased up :lol i was totaly knackered when it was over with! I dare not imageine what its like being the one giving birth!

Your lass aint up the duff is she?

As Bluetack said, it's amazing.

I've had three (said never again after first, but we live and learn!). Two boys and a girl. Labour was 72 hours, 25 mins and 5 hours respectively (now you know why I said never again). My daughter was at risk of Downs Syndrome but I'd have had her even if she had coz she was mine :) She doesn't have it though.

Had one with father present, two without (all have same dad). I think he'd had enough after being there for the first (I was rather rude to him, it was all his fault!). He'd left before I had my daughter.

It's the eyes I think .. when they look at you for the first time ... there are no words to explain the feeling. Nothing compares, ever :)

me a great dad, now wot makes you think that lol ;) :evil :lol

well ok, the nearest thing to a kid i have is watchin me little cousin every friday lol, i ave im trained like a dog, if i say sit he sits if i say go to sleep he sleeps lol, where as with his parents that another matter lol, he is a little **** towards em.

the irony of it all is tho, i dont even have to doa bloody thing to make him behave lol. i have never raised me hands to him (wouldnt like it think i would do that). he is a great little kid when i watch him, i actually enjoy watching him, and i get paid for it so i am laughin lol. the one thing i enjoy even more is him giving his mammy and daddy hell lol. and i just say summat and he stops and starts to behave.

mind you, when i aint there thats another matter lol

Watching you child being born.

The day was full of the most heightened and mixed emotions I have ever felt ever and only felt on odd occasions seperately.I have never felt them again to the same degree or all at the same time as I did that day.

My partner was taken in hospital early one morning and I got a call at around 8am

I first felt "Excitement" to a degree that I only ever felt again many years later when going to the Premier promotion Playoffs finala at Wembley between Reading and Bolton where we came from 3-1 down to win 4-3

"Worry" at the goings on and although everything was under control and the nurses were doing a great job in effect you feel very very "Helpless" and being a typical male you want to take over ayet you know you cant and you have tto put your trust in the staff to do a good job.I was worried at the pain that my partner was feeling as she grabbed my hand. I later dicovered mail marks with broken skin where she had dug her nails in.I hadnt noticed the hormones and adrenelin was flowing that much.

Whilst watching our daughter being born, who was very swollen purple looking very much like a purple baby hippo when she came out, I remember feeling in shock or even "Horrified" seeing my baby girl that colour and so swollen.

"Relief" when the baby comes out and for a split second you think its all over (More often than not everythings fine)

"Pure Happiness" as John (Bluetack) said that just makes you cry.

"Wonder and Marvel" toward your partner for the task at bearing your child.

"Proud" of producing another human being.

I agree with Bluetack, it's a superb experience, i was only 18 when my 1st(a girl) was born & didn't realy know what to expect, the nursing staff were superb & kept me well involved in the whole thing, explaing things etc etc, & the birth went well.

The 2nd (a boy) was a bit more scary as there was probs with the umbilacle cord being wrapped around the baby's neck, & after about 12 hours the baby was delivered by sazarian(don't know how to spell it).

The third(a girl) i'd been up 'till 2am & the baby decided to start at 3am, so then it was another 6 or 7 hours at the hospital, & i was gutted 'cos i ended up falling asleep.

I love all my kids & think they are quite comical at times, especialy when they are young, i'm sure you'd love kids Rock.

My first Came out with the help of forcepts!

When the Doctor fella mentioned it, i thought nothing of it! like Cartman said, you aint got a clue what to expect on your first!

When i saw the sodding size of this implement he was going to put, well you know where, and grab my as yet unborn childs head i could have had a fit! I have seen cars towed with smaller things! All i could think of was he is going to (sorry about this but it is a very emotional time as we all agree, i think your mind must get warped :lol) split my wife in two and pull my babys head off!

I was getting ready to lamp him one with the first object i could grab!

When she was born, i sobbed like a good 'un for ages! my wife looked at me and said "why are you crying? dont you like her" :lol

Totally totally amazing,

Got 3 kids, first off - little girl, second - boy, unlike adams54 (I think) no significant concern over down syndrome, but we were the the 1 in 1 million, wouldn't change him for the world, third - little boy.

Can't think of words to descibe how I felt at the time just the most amazing thing you will ever see!!

Unconditional love is what you have for your kids and any man who says this is not true can't be the father, (take a peek at the way the milkman looks at your kids. lol)

Rock dj.Another classic post!
I have been trying to think of a way to describe the feeling you get when your child is born. There isn`t a big enough word!
My Mrs happens to be a Midwife, and gave birth to our son in the hospital where she worked. Consequently we were pretty much left to get on with it ourselves! :lol
I got well involved i can tell you.
When I looked at him and he looked back at me.....I can`t tell you how amazing it is!! :)
