Now that Napster is a complete waste of time, can users here recommend a decent and easy to use alternative, I understand that there are at the moment around 100 clones of Napster but maybe not as easy to use or with such a large user base.
If you use Napster try putting yourself on the Hotlist to see how many files you are sharing, in my case it is about 1% being shared due to filters.

If you use an old version of napster it business as usual apparently, not that i could condon such actions of course.
I use Imesh, it is far better than napster anyway :D
try it: http://www.imesh.com

www.audiogalaxy.comis pretty damn good. imesh as mentioned above is good as far as i know, only used it for a bit. problem is that imesh is introducting filtering according to tomshardware and theregister .
Winmx is superb. http://www.winmx.com/

I dont use any of them now!
I tried for one song Audio galaxy till i found out it was full of spyware!
You may not like to hear this but:
Dalnet or undernet servers used with mIRC will get you anything you want.
I do like to hear it, but what is it and how do you get it?

AudioGalaxy is ok.It even finds the more obscure stuff that I like to listen to! :lol
However, it DOES contain spyware (WebHancer)which you can block with a firewall.
Do NOT try to delete WebHancer. It will take a vital .dll file with it! You need to remove it via add/remove programs, then run AdAware to make sure its gone. ;)
Unfortunately AudioGalaxy will not work without the WebHancer program. :(
Yes it will. Ive got the non spyware version.

I`ve seen you mention this old version before.
Don`t they make you upgrade to the latest version now though?
I had to upgrade even after having the webhancer version!?

Hi
this article gives the lowdown on Spyware in particular relating to Music downloads!

It looks as if there is always a price to pay for that "FREE" program.
AudioGalaxy still works on my PC.
I prefer WinMX, although the new version of that isnt as good as the old one, which I have just reinstalled.
